This studio course explores and expands what constitutes “function” in relation to, and through, object making. Though it is geared toward wood processes, graduate students are welcomed to address the expansion of function through whatever materials and processes constitute their work, as well as to partake in learning about and using wood as an expressive material if they so choose.
