Student Learning Outcomes
Students will gain understanding of public policy and child and family issues, and apply their understanding of healthy development to public policies and government programming.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
1. Explain principles of human development in families from diverse populations
2. Analyze how research is utilized to understand human development and family processes across settings
3. Critically evaluate practices across settings
4. Assess public policy and child and family issues
Note:
For students majoring in HDFS, only 6 credits from the CFS courses may be applied toward the minor, of which CFS 433 or CFS 493 is not applicable.
